JUly 15, 2013— -- Thousands of demonstrators across the US took to the streets in frustration over George Zimmerman's acquittal in the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Dozens of people were arrested in New York City and Los Angeles, where protesters blocked the I-10 freeway for about 20 minutes, according to the LA Times.

Many protesters in New York City wore Martin's signature hoodie, despite temperatures that reached into the 100's.

Demonstrations in other cities like Washington, Atlanta, Miami and Chicago were mostly peaceful.
