Despite great strides in safety for popular holiday gifts, especially toys for small children, the government has found hazardous items in stores that might be on your holiday list. Hazard: The jackets sold with the set have drawstrings through the hood, which pose a strangulation hazard to young children. No incidents or injuries have been reported. If you have it: Remove drawstrings to eliminate hazard or return to Academy Sports + Outdoors stores for full refund.

|Bicycle part: SRAM RED WiFLi Rear Derailleur|
Hazard: The rear derailleur's rear pivot pin can loosen or dislodge, posing a fall hazard -- 43 incidents reported. If you have it: Stop using any bicycle with the part and return to store for free replacement, including installation. Recalled: Dec. 4
|K2 Sports Revo Kick kickboard/scooter|
Hazard: .The front assembly of the kickboards/scooters can break and the handle can detach or partially detach, causing loss of control or loss of balance. No incidents reported. If you have it: Stop using and contact K2 Sports for a full refund. Recalled: Dec. 4
|Raven multi-purpose yard vehicles|
Hazard: The mower blades can detach during use or start without being activated by the operator and the vehicle can move forward unexpectedly, posing a laceration hazard. Also, the fuel lines can leak, posing a fire hazard -- 82 reports of blades detaching, one with injuries.
