Andie MacDowell Once Skipped Cannes Over Concerns Regarding Her Body
The actress once skipped Cannes because she just gave birth and was "round."
— -- Andie MacDowell is 57 and still looks as gorgeous as ever.
But the "Cedar Cove" actress told the Associated Press at Cannes this week that she once skipped the star-studded event because she was concerned about her body.
"You know 'Sex, Lies, and Videotape' won here and I didn't come because I had just had my daughter, and I was nursing her and really round and I was afraid people would make fun of me," she said of her daughter Rainey born in 1990.
The "Groundhog Day" star added, "I know that was stupid. Now in hindsight, because I've matured and I'm older, I don't really care what people say."
MacDowell spoke further about Cannes and being this year's brand ambassador for L'Oreal, along with icon Jane Fonda, 77.
"That was a blast and she's gorgeous and an inspiration. She's 77. She looks amazing. So I'm happy, I'm thankful, I'm always living gratitude," she told the AP.
