April 24, 2014 -- After "Bachelorette" contestant Eric Hill died in a paragliding accident, the whole team behind the reality dating series was stunned.

Creator Mike Fleiss said that everyone associated with the show is "devastated."

"He was such a vibrant, young dude. He was. It's tragic," Fleiss told E! News. "He was such a young guy who lived life to the fullest. I couldn't believe it when I heard. I'm still in shock. We're all in shock. This transcends everything, certainly a television show."

To that end, Fleiss said that the producers aren't sure how they're going to handle the death. Hill was not filming the show at the time of his accident, though star Andi Dorfman is still shooting her season of the ABC series.

"We're going to try to be as sensitive as possible," Fleiss said. "It's a bizarre predicament that we never expected to be in, but our problems aren't important. It's about his family now. My heart goes out to them. I pray for them and my staff."

It is unclear if Dorfman, an attorney who eliminated herself from Juan Pablo Galavis's season on "The Bachelor," knows about Hill's death, though Fleiss said that at this point, filming has gone very well.

"[She's] sincerely looking for love," he said. "I'd bet a lot of money that she finds her man."
