— -- "Captain America: Civil War" raked in a whopping $25 million last night, making it the tenth largest opening for a Thursday night, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. The third movie in the "Captain America" series has already brought in nearly $292 million internationally (excluding China).

This isn't totally shocking since the movie has a 91 percent ranking on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 8.5 on IMDB.

Critics and fans have also taken to social and other platforms to sing the movie's praises.

The Daily Beast said it all in its review headline, "‘Captain America: Civil War’ Makes Superhero Movies Great Again."

The Beast's Jen Yamato writes, "'Civil War' comes close to matching the first Iron Man’s sense of balance between delivering winking superhero shenanigans and comprehending how much more those antics mean, and should mean, in a post-9/11 world. Here, more than we’ve seen in previous MCU installments, every bit of action has not only real-world weight, but also consequences for its characters."

SlashFilm adds, "The result is a sharp, astounding, action-packed summer blockbuster that’s the kind of superhero movie you’ve been waiting to see your whole life."

Let's not forget Peter Travers from Rolling Stone, who gave the movie 3.5 stars out of 4.

Travers called the film "near perfect" and "Kudos to the Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony, for directing the hostilities for maximum impact and without neglecting character. Their thundering epic is also smart, snappy, politically savvy and blessedly fast on its feet."

But fans are excited too!

And it goes on and on and on.
