George Lucas leads list of stars who surprise the world with their baby news.

Aug. 12, 2013— -- intro: It's been a big year for George Lucas! Not only did he marry his longtime girlfriend, Mellody Hobson, in June, but now, he has a new baby too.

Everest Hobson Lucas was born on Aug. 9, via a surrogate, a rep for the filmmaker confirmed to ABC News. The newborn is the couple's first child together, though Lucas has three adult children too.

The real surprise, though, may be that the new parents managed to keep secret that they were even expecting until after the baby's arrival. For stars, whose private lives are often on public display, the fact that they can keep such huge news under wraps is a real accomplishment.
