Celebs React in Sadness Over Death of Harold Ramis

Billy Crystal, Seth MacFarlane and others tweet their condolences.

Feb. 24, 2014 — -- Harold Ramis was a comic legend, whose writing in "Ghostbusters," "Groundhog Day" and "Analyze This" influenced some of today's greats.

"Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my brilliant, gifted, funny friend, co-writer/performer and teacher Harold Ramis. May he now get the answers he was always seeking," Ramis' friend and co-star Dan Aykroyd wrote today in response to his death at 69 years old.

Ramis died early this morning from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, his wife Erica Mann Ramis told the Chicago Tribune.

The news of his death sent shockwaves through the entertainment community. Seth MacFarlane, Billy Crystal, Michael Ian Black and others took to Twitter to voice their sadness over the loss.
