May 1, 2012— -- intro: They would appear to have everything their famous parents could offer them, but that hasn't stopped some celebrity offspring from getting arrested for alleged crimes that include drug possession and murder.

Take, for example, the latest troubled star child, Courtney Wagner, the daughter of actors Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner.

The 38-year-old was arrested last Sunday for coke and heroin possession after police received a report of a gunshot coming from her Malibu home.

Police were called to her home after a woman's screams were heard, followed by a gunshot, according to TMZ. No one was injured. However, when police arrived they found Wagner in possession of cocaine and heroin, and arrested her on suspicion of felony drug possession, the website said.

Wagner, a former high-end jewelry designer who started Wagner and Ko with her childhood best friend Anita Ko, has since posted $10,000 bail, according to TMZ. Attempts to reach Wagner for comment were unsuccessful.

Wagner was 7 years old when her mother died at age 43. She drowned while boating off Catalina Island with husband Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken in November 1981.

After her mother's death, Wagner and her sisters, Natasha Gregson Wagner, now 41, and Katie Wagner, now 47, stayed on the road with their father, spending a lot of time in Switzerland. "I think that everything Dad did then -- like not being around this crazed atmosphere in L.A. with the paparazzi -- was a good idea," Wagner said in a 2004 interview, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail. "It brought us all closer together. And I always had compassion and respect for him for keeping the family together -- it could easily have fallen apart."

Though police recently reopened the investigation into Wood's death, they found no new evidence of foul play.

Asked if she felt pressure as the daughter of two iconic actors, Wagner replied in the same interview, "The only pressure I would ever feel is, I would always want my family to be proud of me. I just want my dad to feel he raised a solid person to be compassionate and care about the things that he cared about."
