Aug. 9, 2012— -- Honey Boo Boo Child is back and beckoning all viewers to "redneck-ognize" her new reality TV show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."

The first two episodes of the show premiered on TLC Wednesday, debuting "Toddlers in Tiaras" breakout star Alana Thompson -- better known as Honey Boo Boo -- and her Georgia family.

"You know that's just us. For the most part that is us every day," Alana's mom, June Shannon told ABC News. "We're not all about pageants. We are a little redneckish, and we live in Georgia and that's what people do in the country -- get muddy and have fun with the family."

The family, which includes mom June, who was also featured on "Toddlers in Tiaras;" dad "Sugar Bear," a chalk-miner; sisters "Pumpkin" Lauryn, "Chubbs" Jessica, and "Chickadee" Anna.

The first episodes feature the family at the Redneck Games, where Pumpkin bobs for pig's feet while the rest of the family participates in the "Mudpit Belly Flop."

"It's about southern pride. Sort of like the Olympics," Shannon said.

They also prepare Alana for a pageant, go to auctions to bid on junk food for the family and buy a tea-cup pig they name Glitzy.

"She's been asking for something similar to that pig for awhile," Shannon said. "Alana came to us a couple weeks before the pageant, then she lost, and Sugar Bear wanted to cheer her up. Glitzy's no bigger than about seven or eight pounds."

But the family hasn't received the best feedback on Honey Boo Boo's pageantry. When asked about exploiting the 6-year-old in "Daisy Dukes" and cut-off shirts, Shannon said she's not to blame for "perverts" looking at her child.

"We don't compete every weekend and the costumes only stay on stage, not something she wears every day of the week," Shannon said. "She's a normal kid who wears girly things. When the pageant's over, the tan and flipper and glitz and hair go back in the box until the next time."

Shannon says viewers should expect more family fueled activities from the Thompson clan, including more mud-slinging and pageants.

"We're just not like a boring family. We like to have fun and we do whatever pops in our head to a certain extent," Shannon said. "People may call it crazy, but we just call it fun, anything to spend time with one another and pass the time."

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on TLC.
