Jason Aldean Performs 'Lights Come On' on ‘GMA’ in 360-Degree Virtual Reality
Country artist Jason Aldean was live in Central Park.
— -- This morning Jason Aldean headlined the “GMA” Summer Concert Series live in Central Park with performances of “Lights Come On” and “A Little More Summertime” from his highly anticipated new album “They Don’t Know,” due out Sept. 9.
“The guys from Florida Georgia Line, we were actually in the studio on the last day recording the last few songs for the record and had no plans to record this one, and those guys sent it over, and I listened to it one time and we recorded it that day and I think it got sent to radio about three weeks later,” Aldean said of how “Lights Come On” came to be on the new album. “So it happened pretty quick.”
The country music superstar also discussed his 11th annual “Concert for the Cure,” which helps raise awareness for breast cancer research. Aldean is partnering this year with the Grand Ole Opry’s annual “Opry Goes Pink,” a special performance put on to fight breast cancer.
“For the last 10 or 11 years we’ve done a show, ‘Concert for the Cure,’ where all the proceeds go to breast cancer, Susan G. Komen, her breast cancer research, so this year we decided to partner with the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and do the show there and all the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Nashville Chapter,” he explained.
