How Jenny McCarthy Lost Her Wedding Band After Two Weeks of Marriage

— -- Two weeks ago, Donnie Wahlberg slipped a diamond wedding band onto Jenny McCarthy's finger.

She lost that ring Monday after putting it on a room service table before "getting frisky" with her husband.

"I’m hoping someone does find it. They could have maybe not seen it, or it could have gone under a dish and thrown away on accident," she told ABC News today. "But I’m missing it today! I keep going, 'Where is my ring?!' But Donnie and I are both laughing that at least we lost it for the best reason possible!"

Being on the same wavelength is standard for the couple, who wed on Aug. 31 after a four-month engagement. McCarthy, 41, described their Chicago nuptials as "everything I ever could have imagined," and gushed that their relationship is even better than it was before they said "I do." However, their wedding day wasn't as smooth sailing: For one, she was forced to move the ceremony indoors because of inclement weather. Then, the former "View" host, who is also a spokeswoman for the weight loss drink Skinny Stix, was horrified to discover that her wedding dress didn't fit.

"I started drinking them because when I get nervous, I eat more for some reason. I didn't want to lose much weight because I’m happy where I’m at, but I didn't want to gain," she explained. "Cut to the wedding day, I go and put on my dress and 'Oh my God, it doesn't fit.' Because I lost weight in that interim, it kind of fell down a little bit!"

To get wedding-day ready, McCarthy, who added that Wahlberg has also been drinking Skinny Stix, also stuck to her regular routine of doing planks to improve muscle tone and exercising portion control during mealtime. She also makes sure she runs for 45 minutes on the treadmill two to three times per week -- though she admits she needs to be distracted while working out.

"I have a 70-inch flat screen TV in front of the treadmill. I love watching TV shows more than anything or sometimes I listen to Howard Stern," she said. "You get sucked into the conversation!"

One thing she hasn't caught lately is the new season of the "The View," though McCarthy, who left the show earlier this year after one season, has nothing but positive things to say about the show. (She's also gearing up for her new Sirius radio show, "Dirty Sexy Funny," which will premiere later this year.)

"I haven’t seen it yet but I’m listening to people’s conversations I hear both sides," she said. "Of course as a person in this business I’m happy for the people that have jobs and I’m grateful that I got a new one! I’m hoping it works out and I hope it’s everything they want."
