— -- Jim Carrey has been married twice, and that's enough for him.

The comedic actor said he doesn't plan to wed again.

"I just don't see it as necessary, at this point," he told Howard Stern during an interview for the shock jock's Sirius XM radio show. "I can't say that I know how I would feel if I meet somebody that knocks my head off. I mean, I can't make hard, fast rules about the future. But I wouldn't voluntarily go that way."

However, Carrey, 52, is no stranger to the dating scene. After splitting from his girlfriend of more than five years, Jenny McCarthy, in 2010, he began courting not-so-famous women in an attempt to avoid the spotlight.

"That's one of the keys, for sure, because you're not a commodity that's sell-able," he said. "It's not personal. It's just, if you hook up with someone that's famous, you become a sell-able commodity and that's the most important thing in those magazines. It's not what you're doing in the movies, it's: 'Who are you with? What are you doing? Are you breaking up?'"

The "Dumb and Dumber To" star added that in spite of his multitude of breakups recently -- including one he initiated by text message ("That was really dumb," he admitted) -- he is still looking for love.

"Women are very important," he said. "I love women. Love them, adore them."
