Johnny Depp Ordered to Stay Away From Amber Heard

— -- Johnny Depp has been ordered to stay away from his estranged wife, Amber Heard, until June 17.

The actress filed a restraining order this morning in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleging that during a fight last weekend, the actor hit her in the face with a cellphone, pulled her hair, struck her and screamed at her.

As evidence, she submitted photos of herself with a bruised eye.

"I live in fear that Johnny will return to [our home] unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally," she wrote in court documents obtained by ABC News. "There also have been several prior incidents of domestic violence with Johnny, in particular there was one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared that my life was in danger."

An LAPD media relations representative confirmed that authorities responded to Depp and Heard's home on Saturday, but added, "There was no evidence of any crime. A crime did not occur so the officers left the scene and left a business card."

Heard added in the court documents that Depp, whom she accused of having a substance abuse problem, had been physically, verbally and emotionally abusive throughout their years-long relationship and 15-month marriage. Prior to their fight on May 21, she wrote that she hadn't seen him since her birthday party on April 21, where she claimed he allegedly threw a bottle of champagne at the wall, grabbed her by the hair and threw her onto the floor.

Heard's requests to keep Depp away from her dog and to require him to take anger management classes were denied.

On Monday, Heard filed for divorce from Depp, 52, citing irreconcilable differences. Two days later, Depp filed too. Today, his lawyer, Laura Wasser, filed an opposition to the restraining order on her client's behalf.

"Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse," Wasser wrote. "Johnny is currently out of the country for work. He is unable to attend the hearing on this matter and has not heard Amber's specific allegations against him. He nonetheless has every intention of staying away from Amber."

Depp, 52, and Heard, 30, first met on the set of "The Rum Diary" in 2009 and married in February 2015. Almost immediately, the couple was dogged by tabloid rumors that their relationship was on the skids. Heard, however, shot down such reports late last year.

"I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives," she told Marie Claire, "but it is strange, and hard."

Yesterday, Depp's rep issued a statement to People.

"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother [recently], Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly," his rep told the magazine.

ABC News reached out to Wasser and Depp and Heard's reps for comment, but they did not immediately respond.
