Jan. 31, 2014 — -- With all his recent run-ins with the law in America and now in Canada, Justin Bieber wants everyone to know that he does not want his father to take any blame.

"I have the greatest Dad in the world," he posted. "He's taught me how to love, learn, and stay true to myself. I will forever be grateful because he was my superehero #batman."

In the photo, his father was wearing a Batman skull cap.

Bieber also took to Twitter to thank his hometown mayor Dan Mathieson for his support.

On Thursday, Mathieson told local papers "As far as I'm concerned, he is a 19-year-old person who has made some errors. I don't condone them, but I also understand that we all have made errors in our life."

Bieber tweeted his response, "never forget where you come from or those who supported you before anyone else. still the small town kid. thanks."

In addition to the charges in Toronto, Bieber was arrested a couple weeks ago in Miami, Fla., for alleged DUI and drag racing.

His arraignment is set for Feb. 14 in that case. Police in Los Angeles are also investigating his connection to an egging that took place last year in his Los Angeles neighborhood.
