How Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy Are Moving on After Split

Hudson enjoys night out, Bellamy tweets he's okay.

— -- Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy are moving on after announcing their split.

A day after confirming that they had called after their engagement, the newly single actress was spotted out in Los Angeles for an evening with some gal pals.

The 35-year-old appeared relaxed in casual attire, as she arrived makeup-free at good friend, model Sara Foster's LA home Tuesday night. Good friend Nicole Richie was also spotted arriving at Foster's.

On Tuesday, Hudson's rep told People magazine, "Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."

The couple had been together four years and became engaged in April 2011, with son Bingham born just a few months later that July. The couple never wed.

On Wednesday morning, the Muse singer tweeted that the breakup was "for the best" and seemed ready to talk about other things, like his new album.
