Khloe Kardashian Opens Up About Current Relationship with Lamar Odom
"Oh my god, I miss him every day," she said about her ex.
— -- It's been over a year and a half since Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom, but the reality star admits he may always be that guy for her.
On the day Kardashian, 31, spoke to Complex magazine for the August/September cover story, she admitted she had just spoken to her ex, 35, that morning.
"I talk to Lamar as often as I can, which is inconsistent, but not on my terms," she said. "When you genuinely feel like that was the right relationship, you’re supposed to give it all you can. That’s what marriage is about."
The two split in December 2013 after having been married since 2009. After months of alleged drug use and infidelity by her husband, Kardashian filed, citing "irreconcilable differences."
"Lamar is genuinely one of the best people I’ve ever met, and everyone says that when they meet him," she told Complex. "I think Lamar’s gonna always be that person [for me] but that’s what made it so special. Even if I had it for five years or whatever, it was the best ever and I’m grateful I did. Some people don’t get that ever and I had that magic for a long time."
In fact, Kardashian admits "Oh my God, I miss him every day."
"I miss what we had — things we got to do together are just memories," she said. "I like looking back and holding on to that stuff. I definitely miss it, and there’s times I’ll get so sentimental and so sad, but this had to happen for some reason. I’ll figure it out over time, someone will give me that answer eventually. I think it would be very f------ weird if I didn’t miss it."
As for the sexy photo shoot for the cover of Complex, Khloe's big sister Kim took notice and wrote, "How good does @khloekardashian look in her @complex shoot!!! DAMN!!! ... I'm obsessed with this shoot! Hard work pays off! Khloe was always so hesitant about doing a sexy shoot just out of fear but she conquered her fears & went for it!!! I'm so proud of her!!!"
