Kris Jenner Upset About Caitlyn Jenner's Comments in Magazine Article
The Kardashian family was upset with Caitlyn Jenner's comments about Kris.
— -- On Sunday night's episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," the Kardashian family was not pleased with Caitlyn Jenner's comments about her ex-wife Kris Jenner in her Vanity Fair article.
Kim Kardashian, 34, read the article while she was in Nashville for an appearance, unhappy with Caitlyn’s portrayal of Kris in the article.
"All Caitlyn can talk about is that my mom mistreated her and was awful and all these really rude things, when there's no reason to bash my mom," the reality TV star said in her on-camera interview.
Kim called her mother to check on how she was handling the article, and found out that Kris was also extremely upset. Kris was furious with Jenner’s portrayal of their relationship in the article. The 59-year-old was especially hurt that Caitlyn didn’t discuss any positive aspects of their marriage -- and that she did not use “one nice word” to describe Kris.
“It just sums up that I’m this piece of s*** person who is mean, Kris told Kim. “He can go f*** himself. I honestly wish I never met this man. I mean, just f*** you, Bruce.”
Kim agreed with her mom, saying: “It’s just crazy to me that Caitlyn would not discuss the years of really happy times.”
When Kim returned to Los Angeles, she met with sisters Khloe and Kourtney to discuss the Vanity Fair article. While Kourtney had not yet read it in full, Khloe was just as upset with Caitlyn as Kim and Kris were.
Later in the episode, Kim went to visit Caitlyn at her Malibu home to relay her family’s frustration, explaining that Caitlyn’s comments about Kris were “the most unfair thing in the world to say.”
“You could have had a little bit more respect,” Kim told Jenner.
Caitlyn, 65, said she was upset because she believed everyone was taking the article “the wrong way.” However, the former Olympian refused to apologize for the article until they came to talk to her themselves. At the time, neither Kris, Khloe nor Kourtney had met Caitlyn in person. (Jenner does come face-to-face with Kris on an episode of "I Am Cait," and the two are able to openly discuss the Vanity Fair article, among other issues, with each other).
The episode concluded with Kris breaking down in tears and deciding to leave town for a little bit because she was having a “really tough time.”
