— -- Before making their grand entrances at Monday night's Met Ball, the stars gave fans a first look at their outfits.
Under the reign of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute benefit is truly one of the biggest parties of the year.
And one of its newest stars, Amal Clooney, was christened by Wintour, when the editor posed beside the barrister beauty for an Instagram shot of Clooney's last minute preparations before the big night.
"AMAL CLOONEY BEING FITTED BY JOHN GALLIANO FOR TONIGHT AT THE MET GALA," the photo's caption read.

Sarah Jessica Parker's outfit was the talk of the night. On Instagram, she posed with "standing date" Andy Cohen of Bravo's and revealed to fans that her dress was designed by her in collaboration with retailer H&M. As for the most-talked about headpiece, it was designed by Irish Hat designer Philip Treacy.
Beyonce
Beyonce posted several shots of her peekaboo gown, including the front and back.
Kerry Washington, dressed in Prada, evoked the fairy tale magic of the evening with her Instagram pic, which she captioned, "Once upon a time... #MetBall"
Zac Posen and Katie Holmes
Designer Zac Posen revealed his date, good friend Katie Holmes, with an Instagram video of the pair strolling through Central Park with a twirl and a kiss.
