— -- Following a June arrest for fighting with his brother in New Jersey, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino agreed to anger management after being charged with assault.

The Associated Press reports that the former "Jersey Shore" star, 32, will take classes as part of a deal stemming from the June 17 fight with his brother Frank, where he was taken into custody in Middletown, N.J.

Sorrentino and his family own a Boca Tanning salon there.

If the reality star completes the classed, his charge could be downgraded, the AP reported.

"It was a business miscommunication among family," Sorrentino told ABC News of the incident.

In fact, Sorrentino also told ABC that the black eye that he suffered during the fight had come from his mother not Frank. She was trying to break the two up during the altercation.

"She tried to grab me multiple times, there were multiple jabs, she kept missing she wasn't able to grip, so that's why I had the black eye," he added.
