— -- If Eleven's whereabouts or the fate of the Upside Down are keeping you up at night, fear not. We just might get some answers.

Netflix announced early today that season two of the summer hit "Stranger Things" has been green lit and will arrive in 2017.

A teaser for the upcoming season reveals titles for each of the nine upcoming episodes, making the new season one episode longer than the first.

The show's creators, the Duffer brothers, will once again be writing and producing.

Though the brothers told Entertainment Weekly that they toyed with the idea of jumping ahead quite a few years, they ultimately decided against it.

"For us, there’s still more story here [in the 1980s], there’s still things that are unresolved,” Ross Duffer said, which means that everyone's favorite kids will be back -- or at least most of them.

"We don’t know about Eleven,” Ross Duffer added. “We leave that up in the air.”

In addition to the characters we've come to know and love, the Duffers shared that four new characters will be introduced.

And speaking of new, the setting won't be limited to just the small town of Hawkins and the Upside Down.

“We will venture a little bit outside of Hawkins,” Matt Duffer said. “I will say the opening scene [of the premiere] does not take place in Hawkins.”

As for the Upside Down, expect to learn more.

"We kinda just peeled back the curtain and revealed a tiny bit of the Upside Down," Matt Duffer said. "So we definitely want to explore a little bit more."

Added Ross Duffer, "We’ve opened up this doorway, and to us it’s exciting to talk about, like, what else is behind there? There’s a lot more mystery there to be solved."
