All four Pretty Little Liars were at New York Comic-Con today to reveal what fans can expect this coming season, including a sneak peek at what their characters have been up to in the first four minutes from the season 6-B premiere of the ABC Family show.

When viewers last saw Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields and Hanna Marin, the girls headed their separate ways after graduating high school, leaving Alison DiLaurentis behind in Rosewood.

In the sneak peek of the season 6-B premiere, the show takes a five-year jump to Alison’s teaching a class in Rosewood, when a man named Dr. Rollins tells her a judge set a date for a hearing.

She then writes letters to Spencer, Aria, Emily and Hanna, and as we hear Alison read the letters out loud, we see where the four girls have ended up five years after going their separate ways.

After screening the sneak peek, panelists Sasha Pieterse, Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, and show executive producers Joseph Dougherty, Oliver Goldstick and Marlene King gave fans a closer look at what the characters’ lives are like after the time jump, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Here’s what we learned:

1. Spencer is in Washington, D.C.

Spencer reads Alison’s letter while sitting on a bench in front of the U.S. Capitol building.

“Spencer’s an incredibly intelligent character and she hasn’t gotten to realize her full potential [in the past],” Bellisario, who plays Spencer, said at the panel, according to Entertainment Weekly. “For her to be so successful in her career and be in a political world was very exciting for me.”

2. Aria became a publisher.

In the preview, Aria is at a book signing when she sees Ezra Fitz’ book, “Ostinato.” She stares at Ezra’s photo on the back cover.

“She takes a left turn and falls in love with writing,” Hale, who plays Aria, said at the panel. Hale said Aria becomes a publisher.

3. Hanna moved to New York.

Hanna is seen on a plane playing with a little girl who is sitting next to her. But the young girl is not her child: A woman comes and thanks her for watching her.

At the panel, Benson, who plays Hanna, said Hanna spent some time traveling the world and moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion.

4. Emily looks like she’s working as a bartender.

As Alison reads the letters she wrote to the girls, Emily is seen working behind a bar serving drinks.

According to Mitchell, who plays Emily, Emily attended Pepperdine University in California.

“She moves away, too, and I think out of all the girls her time away is probably the hardest,” Mitchell said. “She goes through some things during those five years.”

5. Why did Alison write the girls letters?

It was revealed in the summer finale, that “A,” the unnamed character who had been sending threatening messages to the liars throughout the series, was CeCe Drake, or Alison’s brother Charles DiLaurentis, who went by the name Charlotte.

At the end of the preview, Alison reveals that she wants to talk to the girls before they spoke at the court hearing about Charlotte’s pending release.
