— -- In July, Taylor Swift hosted a big Independence Day party, and both Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively attended.

One photo in particular stuck out of Reynolds, Lively, Swift, her then-beau Tom Hiddleston, and another couple. All had big smiles on their faces, but Reynolds had a pretty lackluster look.

The internet pounced.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the "Deadpool" star explained that he wasn't upset, just didn't know the pic was being taken.

“That’s a problem I’ve had all my life. If I’m not aware a photo is being taken, my natural resting face is one of a man dying," he said. "I had no idea somebody was taking a photo. Therefore I was resting comfortably in my persona of a man whose soul is visibly exiting this earth.”
