— -- Clint Eastwood is Hollywood royalty, but that doesn't mean he spoiled his son Scott in any way.

Scott Eastwood said Clint, 84, actually was "old school" as a father and that the 29-year-old has had "a job since I can remember."

"My first car was a '91 Ford Crown Victoria that was $1,000. And I had to buy every car after that. I had to do it all," he told People magazine.

He said having a famous dad didn't mean he knew acting would work out.

"I said I would give myself 10 years, and if it didn't work out, I would be a firefighter or something. And things just sort of took off," said "The Longest Ride" star.

What his father did instill in Scott was healthy living.

"He wanted me to be health-conscious. Healthy body, healthy mind; that's what he preached to me," he said.
