Stephen Colbert Takes 'Colbore' Emmys Gaffe in Stride

At the Emmys, the singer called the TV host "Colbore" but he had the last laugh.

— -- Stephen Colbert won the Emmy for Best Variety Show on Monday night, but Gwen Stefani tripped over his name while making the announcement.

The singer accidentally called the TV host, "Colbore," though he obviously saw the humor in it. He even tweaked the title credit for Monday's show of "The Colbert Report."

Colbert, 50, will continue to host the Comedy Central show for a few more months until he takes over for David Letterman at "The Late Show." However, he has yet to really think about the transition.

"["The Colbert Report"] takes 100 percent of my brain to get done because I don't have the ability to think about this show and another show in the future," he told reporters backstage at the Emmys, "and I'm still really enjoying watching Dave right now."
