Dec. 23, 2013 — -- intro: Steve Martin was just the latest celebrity to make a Twitter mishap this weekend.

On Friday night, the "Father of the Bride" actor tweeted to his followers that they should "submit your grammar here," and one user asked, "Is this how you spell lasonia?" Martin responded, "It depends. Are you in an African-American neighborhood or at an Italian restaurant?"

After Martin deleted the insensitive tweet, he aplogized. "My tweet was highly inappropriate," he wrote.

From jokes about a deadly tsunami to naked selfies that just shouldn't have happened, here is a quick look at other Twitter gaffes.
