Susan Sarandon Opens Up About Moving on From Tim Robbins
Actress now "collaborates" with much-younger ping pong business partner.
Feb. 6, 2014 -- Fans were shocked when Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins split in 2009 after 23 years together. The actress said that her performance in the Broadway show "Exit the King," a play about confronting mortality, made her reexamine the relationship.
"You can't do a meditation on death and stay in a situation that's not authentic," she told AARP magazine. "It made me examine where I was in my union and in my life, and to have discussions about making changes."

Now, Sarandon, 67, is dating 36-year-old Jonathan Bricklin, with whom she owns SPiN, a ping pong franchise. Though she's never openly discussed their romance, she did hint at it in the interview.
"Jonathan and I collaborate on different things. That means a lot of things," she said. When asked if she was referring to a romance, she responded, "Yeah, I think so."
Susan Sarandon Was Stoned At A Lot of Events
The actress, who is being honored with the magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award at their Movies for Grownups Awards Gala, is in a new chapter of her life in terms of motherhood, too. Now that her children, Eva, Miles and Jack, are grown, she's learning to parent differently.
"It's been hard for me to let go of thinking of dinner at 6 o'clock," she said. "I want to see them in places where they can pay the rent, and then I'll feel that's done."
