— -- Taylor Swift takes her maid of honor duties very seriously.

The "Bad Blood" singer went wedding dress shopping with her childhood BFF and bride-to-be Britany Maack, who asked Swift to take on the role back in February.

But this was no simple shopping trip. The pop star arranged a special visit to designer Reem Acra's New York City showroom on Tuesday.

"I’ve never been a maid of honor before. This is my first time, and it’s really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born. And she’s marrying someone I’ve known since I was 4," Swift told People Wednesday.

Reem Acra is a favorite designer of the pair.

"Reem does the most amazing bridal designs, and Britany and I were looking through Vogue, and she pointed to this one gown, and I was like, 'I wonder if we could go to the showroom...'" Swift explained.

But Swift didn't stop there. In between stops on her "1989 World Tour," she made a couple calls.

"And sure enough, it was the best day ever. It was so amazing," she told People.

Just take a look at Maack's photo from their expedition.

"Dressing up, but this time not playing. #weddingdress #nailedit @taylorswift @reem_acra," she wrote on Instagram.

Swift posted Maack's sweet note asking the singer to be maid of honor back in February.

In addition to being maid of honor for the first time, Swift will also be a first-time godmother for close pal Jaime King.

"Her thoughtfulness, her kindness, her authenticity -- the way that she's generous with her family, with her friends, with her fans -- is so powerful to me," King told Elle magazine recently about why she chose Swift. "She's so uninhibited in her giving -- the presents she gives to her fans, she wraps every single one, she paints the stuff. It's all her."
