— -- These two grandparents clearly hate it when their 18-year-old granddaughter walks alone at night.

In fact, Helen and Al Giugliano are hilariously irate as Gabriella Rutigliano treks to class as she's studying nursing at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.

In a now viral video taken by Rutigliano's older sister, Gina, Al Giugliano asks, "Why are you alone?"

Rutigliano replies, "I'm going to class."

Trying to calm down her husband of 68 years, Helen Giugliano says, "See, that's the library."

It doesn't help, however, as Al Giugliano, 90, continues to ask his granddaughter, "Why don't you walk with somebody?"

As her older sister Gina tells her grandparents, "She's fine!" her grandmother yells back, "She's not you! She's a baby!"

Gina told ABC News that her grandparents have a special soft spot for her little sister.

"Before she went to school, she was always taking care of them," Gina explained. "They live down the block from us -- five houses down."

Helen, 89, and Al Giugliano have known each other since they were 12 years old, growing up in the same neighborhood in Coney Island, New York. The two, who now reside in Hauppauge, New York, have four daughters, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren between them.

"They're the heart of our family," Gina boasted, adding that before he retired Al Giugliano was a chef, while Helen Giugliano stayed home to "take care of the girls."

"They're the most loving grandparents ... and they're not shy," she added. "They mean everything to all of us. They’re irreplaceable."
