Top Dog? See if Your Favorite Hot Dog Named Among Nation's Best
Foursquare names the 40 best in America.
— -- There's nothing more American that biting into a hot dog come summer time. And while Nathan's -- and its famous July Fourth hot-dog eating contest -- seem to get all the love, there are plenty of other high-quality hot dog slingers worthy of your business.
Foursquare -- which is now positioning itself as a city guide, rather than a check-inn app -- has come up with a list of the top 40 hot dog establishments in the nation. There's a good chance you've heard of the top dogs in your city, but serious eaters will want to take this list on their summer travels to sample the country's very best.
The list was complied, Foursquare said, "based on Foursquare ratings, which uses a unique algorithm that takes into account likes, saves, shares, tip sentiment and more. The top-rated location of various hot dog joints are included; subsequent chain locations have been removed."
