— -- Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather continues to tease fans about a possible cross-sport superfight against UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. Mayweather posted this fake fight poster to his social media accounts over the holiday weekend.

The poster -- which for some reason uses Mayweather's last name, but McGregor's first, and doesn't include a fight date -- is just the latest development in the ongoing saga, which blew up after McGregor was dropped from the UFC 200 fight card. Nate Diaz, McGregor's scheduled opponent in that bout, said the ongoing Mayweather-McGregor rumors are nothing but a publicity stunt, but legendary trainer Freddie Roach told "Inside MMA" that Mayweather visited Roach's gym to ask him to train McGregor, because the fight will happen.

As of right now, neither Mayweather nor McGregor has a fight scheduled -- against each other or another opponent.
