— -- New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was fined $36,000 for a crackback block against New Orleans Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro last week, as first reported by FoxSports and confirmed by ESPN.

It's the second straight week that Beckham was fined. He was hit with a $12,154 penalty for a group celebration in the opener.

Beckham now faces a suspension if there is another incident, according to the report.

This comes as Beckham and the Giants face Josh Norman and the Washington Redskins. Beckham was suspended one game for his actions the last time he matched up with Norman, who was then with the Carolina Panthers. Beckham collected three unnecessary roughness penalties in that ugly December matchup.

Both Beckham and Norman spoke separately with officials prior to the game.

The latest incident involving Beckham occurred with just under five minutes remaining in the third quarter against the Saints. After a pass was completed to the other side of the field, Beckham peeled back to block an unknowing Vaccaro, who was not chasing down the play.

This is at least the sixth known fine for Beckham in two-plus seasons. It has created a situation where he feels the league is looking at everything he does with a microscope.

"They fine me for everything," Beckham said several weeks back. "They fine me for smiling."
