— -- David Ortiz's farewell tour is just beginning, but what's in store? Here's a brief look at some of the gifts that have been handed out over the years by MLB teams.

David Ortiz -- retiring after 2016 season

The Red Sox got Ortiz's farewell tour going even before the regular season started, with a ceremony in Fort Myers before his final spring training game there. The Red Sox named a street by the park after him and also gave him seats from the three spring training parks he has played in: jetBlue, Hammond Field and City of Palms Park.

Bud Selig -- retired on Jan. 24, 2015

Selig officially retired as commissioner on Jan. 24, 2015. In this picture he's being honored in Arizona (April 6, 2015) before the Diamondbacks opener against the San Francisco Giants.

Derek Jeter -- retired following the 2014 season

Jeter's final season was a parade of gifts across baseball. It started with a pair custom boots and a Stetson hat in Houston (April 2, 2014) ...

... and finished in Boston of all places, with Xander Bogaerts and David Ortiz presenting him with a respect sign before his final regular season game (Sept. 28, 2014).

Paul Konerko -- retired following the 2014 season

Jeter wasn't the only long-time big-leaguer retiring after the 2014 season. Konerko, who played 15 years of his 18-year career with the Chicago White Sox, retired on Sept. 28, 2014. In addition to being honored by the White Sox at the end of the season, he was honored by the cross-town Cubs in May, presented with his number 14 from the Wrigley Field scoreboard.

Mariano Rivera -- retired following the 2013 season

Rivera received a full season of gifts from teams around baseball. In Tampa, the Rays had a sand sculpture of Rivera made to celebrate his final trip to Tropicana Field.

Todd Helton -- retired following the 2013 season

Helton played his entire 17-year career in Colorado and before his last home game (Sept. 25, 2013), the Rockies presented him with horse.

Chipper Jones -- retired following the 2012 season

Jones' seasonlong farewell tour included a stop in New York for gift from the Mets, a team he tormented throughout his career. Mets COO Jeff Wilpon presented him with a piece of artwork that highlighted Jones' career at Shea Stadium.

Bobby Cox -- retired following the 2010 season

Farewell gifts aren't just for players. Long-time Braves manager Cox retired following the 2010 season and was honored at many stops along the way, including in St. Louis, where Cox was presented with a signed Stan Musial photo.

Craig Biggio -- retired following the 2007 season

Biggio was feted (Sept. 30, 2007) in Houston after retiring following a 20-year career with the Astros.
