— -- A viral photo of a dress has inspired stirring arguments about optical illusions, including several via Twitter.

Celebrities, colorblind advocates and photographers have all chimed in about the debate: black and blue or white and gold?

The website Film School Rejects highlights artist Nacho Guzman's use of moving colored lights to change the appearance of an actress’ face.

"It’s much cooler than The Dress, anyway," the website says.

Meanwhile, the British retailer that created the blue and black dress has said that it is considering selling a white and gold version.

If you are mesmerized by a debate over colors, National Geographic highlights optical illusions as brain games.

While shopping app Shopcade is capitalizing on the dress while saying that #TheDress has made it "optical illusion crazy."
