Oct. 21, 2013 — -- And then Apple said, "Let there be a day without a focus on iPhones."

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, a month after introducing the iPhone 5s and 5c, Apple takes the stage at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco to talk about some of its other products that will be released in time for the holiday season.

"We've still have a lot to cover," Apple said last week in the media invitation to the event that kicks off Tuesday at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.

So just what will Apple be talking about Tuesday? Here are some predictions:

New, Thinner and Faster iPads
New iPads are pretty much a lock for the event. Thanks to various reports and leaked photos, we have a good idea of what Apple's latest tablets will look like too. According to many of those reports and photos, Apple's 9.7-inch iPad will be getting a drastic cosmetic overhaul, with a thinner design, smaller screen bezel and rounded edges.

Internally, the new tablet is said to get some of the iPhone 5s' goods, including a faster 64-bit A7 processor. Some rumors suggest that the tablets will also acquire the new TouchID fingerprint sensor.

The wild card right now is the iPad Mini. Some report that the new tablet will get a higher resolution Retina Display, while others say there are supply problems that might hinder Apple from releasing the improved tablet this month. Both iPads will run iOS 7, which was released last month together with the iPhone 5s and 5c launch.

The tablets are expected to hit the market within a week or two of Apple's latest event. The pricing is likely to stay the same, with the iPad 5 starting at $499 and the iPad Mini at $329. As in year's past, Apple may drop the price of its current iPads.

MacBooks Running OS X Mavericks, New Mac Pro

The iPad won't be the only computers Apple talks about Tuesday. Apple is expected to announce the availability of its next version of the OS X operating system, called Mavericks. First previewed in June, the new software brings a host of features to the laptop and desktop operating system, including a new version of Safari, improved notifications and new apps, including Maps and iBooks.

Joining the software will likely be some new computers. Expected are Apple's new Mac Pro, a circular desktop that is being assembled in the U.S., and new MacBook Pro Retina laptops with new Intel Haswell processors.

Other Goodies

That is likely to be the brunt of the event, but some recent speculation suggests Apple might also unveil a keyboard cover for the iPad. Some are speculating that it might be similar to the one available for Microsoft's Surface, which coincidentally goes on sale Tuesday.

Of course, all of this is just rumor and speculation until Apple lays out the official details Tuesday at, again, 10 a.m. PT /1 p.m. ET. ABC News will be there, bringing you the latest in a liveblog. Stay tuned for coverage at abcnews.com/tech.
