Backstage at La Nouba at Walt Disney World
Behind the scenes at the Cirque du Soleil show.
— -- La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil at Walt Disney World's Disney Springs has been going strong since 1998. But even visitors who have seen the show haven't seen it all.
Notable new additions to the show include the B-Boys, a world-famous breakdancing act, and the Aerial Bamboo routine, a love story told through high-flying acrobatics.
ABC News got a behind-the-scenes look at La Nouba and a lesson in "B-boying" as well as aerial acrobatics.
Matthew Sparks, head coach of La Nouba, said the "pure physical performance show" has 20 minutes of entirely new content. "La Nouba keeps the spirit it has always had, but it's really a brand-new show," he told ABC News.
Housed in a custom-built tent, the performance area features a mechanical stage and movable glass cages.
Also new and notable is the area the tent occupies. Now called Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney), the area is home to some of Walt Disney World Resort's most upscale dining and shopping. Morimoto Asia and STK Orlando are two of the top restaurants while Lily Pulitzer and Kate Spade New York stand side-by-side with Disney-themed shops.
