Doctor Accused of Harassing Woman She Allegedly Called a 'Homewrecker'
Dr. Angela Siler-Fisher has been charged with criminal trespass and harassment.
Dec. 5, 2013— -- An award-winning Houston doctor has been charged with criminal trespass and harassment after she was accused of threatening a woman whom she allegedly called a "homewrecker."
Dr. Angela Siler-Fisher, 42, is now free on bond after she allegedly broke into the home of her husband's former coworker, Dr. Marcelle Mallery, over the weekend and wrote "homewrecker" in red lipstick on the bathroom mirror, according to charging documents. Mallery used to work at a radiology clinic with Siler-Fisher's husband, Brandon Fisher.
Siler-Fisher has not entered a plea and no one involved in this case would respond to ABC News' request for comment.
Siler-Fisher, a mother of two, is the medical director of Ben Taub Hospital's Emergency Center in Houston and was featured on TLC's "Untold Stories of the ER."
Investigators say Mallery's home surveillance cameras show Siler-Fisher illegally entering the house Sunday by "kicking in the doggy door," according to the charging document. She then allegedly wrote "homewrecker" in red lipstick on the bathroom mirror.
"When you get passion involved, people you think of as being very calm and rational can do incredibly shocking things. Rage takes over, and that's when people get into trouble," ABC News consultant and former FBI agent Brad Garrett said.
Siler-Fisher, according to the charging document, called Mallery twice threatening to hurt her. Investigators say she then sent at least 25 text messages, including a picture of the inside of Mallery's bedroom.
"This type of attack is intended to scare the other woman away, or to try and fix her personal life. But in fact, the end result could be a destroyed personal and professional life," Garrett said.
Siler-Fisher is also an assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine. Baylor issued a statement to ABC News, saying, "We understand that this is a private matter for Dr. Fisher and does not impact her work at Baylor College of Medicine."
