Man Live-Streams High Speed Crash on Facebook Live
A 20-year-old motorist live-streamed his 115 mph crash on Facebook.
— -- A young man live-streamed himself weaving in and out of traffic at speeds of up to 115 mph, ultimately crashing into a dump truck and road barrier, officials said.
Onasi Olio Rojas, 20, used his cellphone to broadcast his extreme driving on Facebook Live Wednesday morning.
In the video, Rojas is seen accelerating from 58 mph to 104 mph before being forced to slow down for traffic.
Rojas quickly speeds up again and begins to weave through multiple lanes of traffic, at times using the shoulder to pass other vehicles.
Once his speed topped 115 mph, Rojas's video abruptly stops.
According to police, Rojas lost control of the vehicle, hit a dump truck and crossed through three lanes of traffic before he smashed the car into a barrier.
"How lucky we are that no one else was hurt," said Capt. John Allen of the Rhode Island State Police. "It's a grand slam of things not to do," he added.
Doctors said Rojas is in fair condition. No one else was injured in the accident and police say he will be charged with driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.
