Sept. 6, 2013— -- intro: In a house on Camelot Court, in Loxley, Ala., Michael Wohlschlaeger and Shirley Seitz lived a whirlwind romance. The two met and married in three weeks flat, the fifth marriage for both of them. However, there was no happily-ever-after ending on Camelot Court when Seitz mysteriously died four years into their marriage.

Troubled by the circumstance surrounding her death, Seitz' family embarked on a quest for answers.

"20/20" takes a look at Wohlschlaeger's past marriages, beginning with the death of his fifth wife. Here is the timeline of events.

On Feb. 11, 1977, Heimberger was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead. The autopsy report said she choked on a cough drop.

Shortly after Shirley Seitz's death in 2010, her family contacted Potts to ask her about her own experiences with Wohlschlaeger.

The couple divorced almost 10 years later before he married Seitz.

Four years into the marriage, something is wrong with Seitz. In an audio interview obtained by "20/20," Wohlschlaeger tells investigators Seitz had been ill for weeks, citing food poisoning, thyroid problems and, to cap it off, a stubborn migraine headache.

Fearful that Seitz is getting worse, her mother and brother drive five hours to Loxley, Ala., to check on her. By the time Seitz goes to bed on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, her mother sees a vast improvement in her daughter after Seitz took migraine medication.

However, on March 1, 2010, the following Monday morning, Wohlschlaeger finds Seitz unconscious in their bedroom. She is rushed to the hospital but is pronounced dead.

Police investigated for more than a year but no charges were brought -- Wohlschlaeger denied to police that he was responsible for Seitz's death.
