    Rare photographs of moments of John F. Kennedy's presidency were auctioned Dec. 9, 2010, from the estate of the first ever official White House photographer, Cecil W. Stoughton. In this photo, Lyndon B. Johnson is sworn in as the 36th president, Nov. 22, 1963. Stoughton was the only photographer present during this historic moment.

    The collection of Stoughton's photographs offered for auction included 12,000 images, several signed by John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy, an assortment of unpublished negatives, as well as letters written to Stoughton from Jacqueline Kennedy, and seven volumes of daily schedule books for White House staff members. The whole collection was expected to sell for upward of $200,000.
