1. Escaped Texas Inmates Recaptured
A capital murder suspect and a convicted drug offender who escaped from a prison in Texas earlier this week were captured on Thursday. The men were found 20 miles north of the jail in a barn behind a house.

2. April Snow Hits Virginia
A surprise shot of snow developed around parts of Virginia on Thursday, reportedly forcing Virginia Tech to cancel classes. Nearly six inches were reported in the region.

3. Cop, Suspect Shot, Killed Inside Police Headquarters
A murder suspect and a police officer were found dead at the police headquarters in Jackson, Miss. The police chief said Thursday that the suspect was being interview following his arrest when shots were fired.

4. City Takes Action Against Drunken Golf Cart Drivers
A city in Georgia is cracking down on drunken golf cart drivers. Golf carts were involved in nearly 15 percent of Peachtree City's DUIs in 2012.

5. Cops Face Elephants in Donut Eating Contest
Police officers in Youngstown, Ohio competed in a donut eating contest against elephants from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus on Thursday. The contest, whose proceeds go to the kids in the Youngstown Police Athletic League, was too close to call.
