— -- Surveillance video captured a car speeding down a busy Brooklyn, New York, sidewalk after allegedly striking a child.

Several people, including women and children, can be seen dashing out of harm's way as the black Toyota Camry traveled down the sidewalk in the Williamsburg neighborhood around 4 p.m. Thursday. At one point, a woman with a stroller and two small children can be seen running across a busy intersection as the car is put in reverse.

Several onlookers rushed toward the vehicle, screaming at the driver to stop. One man even threw a large trash can at the windshield, but nothing stopped the driver.

The 9-year-old boy who was struck was reportedly taken to a hospital with a minor foot injury.

Police have one man in custody and are looking for another.

Police say the two men allegedly tried to pass off a counterfeit $20 bill at several businesses in the area before trying to escape after the police were called.
