The man accused of pushing her is in custody all this happened at the White Plains metro north stop Eyewitness News reporter Joseph -- -- -- the hospital in Valhalla. We caught up with the victim's brother at metro north White Plains station we're just hours earlier a man pushed his sister -- -- the tracks in front of an empty but moving northbound train. He asked that we not reveal his identity or his sister's name. I know that she's stable and I I know that she's probably going to go -- searching for lakes -- not exactly sure. And NTA spokeswoman told us police immediately arrested the man who pushed the 21 year old college student onto the tracks -- -- well -- -- Gary Waxman a vendor at the White Plains station from more than thirty years. He's homeless guys hang around in an organization here the last 056 months. He's not every day's 45 times a week we'll come by he stands on -- front ask for money. Kind of threatening looking. And today he decided he was gonna flip out do something. After the train hit the young woman in MTA officer climbed down to the tracks to help the victim and calm her down. She was rushed to Westchester medical center in Valhalla. What I know for sure is at least several fingers were amputated which they took an ice. Pray for surgical -- attachment. The suspect mr. -- scheduled for arraignment tonight in White Plains city court the victim is a White Plains resident her brother told us tonight he publicly.
