Transcript for Instant Index: Fishers Stranded on Ice Floe; Easter Candy Favorites
And tonight, our "instant index" begins with an incredible image. Take a look at this picture. Those are people adrift on an ice floe. They thought they were just going ice fishing, but instead, 220 of them got washed out to sea when two giant ice floes broke off and were propelled 2 1/2 miles out to sea by strong winds. It took three hours to get everyone safely back to land. Helicopters air lifted 20 people at a time. And next, some sweet straight facts before you tear into your easter basket. Number one on the candy list for americans? Jelly beans. Americans will eat 16 billion of them. And 90 million chocolate easter bunnies are next this easter. By the way, 76% of us eat the ears first. 13% start with the feet. And 10% go right for the bunny tail.
