Information for some 73 million current and former AT&T customers was recently posted on the dark web in a data breach, the company confirmed.

The telecom giant says over 70 million current and former AT&T customers from 2019 or earlier had their personal information leaked onto the dark web.

Federal agencies are now urgently investigating to determine whether the AT&T outages are the result of a cyberattack, hack or something else.

According to outage tracking site Downdetector, more than 70,000 customers have reported being impacted.
