At a Cannes Film Festival charity auction as star-studded as one of the Great Gatsby’s parties, a pitch rang out that sounded like a sci-fi sequel to “Catch Me If You Can.”

“How would you like to go to space with Leonardo DiCaprio?” said an auctioneer, the actress Nicole Kidman.

“I can’t believe he offered this, by the way,” she added.

The lot? A ticket on the maiden voyage of Virgin Galactic sitting right next to Gatsby, himself, Leonardo DiCaprio. It was not clear who would get the armrest.

After three days of astronaut training, the winner would join a flight set to take off from the California desert this fall, detach from the mothership and launch all the way into orbit.

Virgin Galactic is a commercial successor to the space shuttle and one of several new ventures offering tourism in space.

“We have one million euro,” said another auctioneer, actress Sharon Stone. “We’re looking for one million two to go with Leonardo DiCaprio for three days’ training and into outer space!”

DiCaprio’s association with “Titanic” and its maiden voyage was not mentioned.

Nor was his star turn in “The Aviator” as billionaire Howard Hughes, whose experimental plane -”Let’s build a plane that flies above the weather, cross the country, cross the world” – crash lands in Beverly Hills.

No, DiCaprio’s first role in a space suit will be as a passenger, not an actor.

“Live a little – it’s outer space!” Stone exhorted her well-heeled audience.

“Million-two here going once. … Million-two going twice. … We’re selling!” Stone said.

$1.5 million. The winner was a Russian billionaire, who’ll soon be getting a close-up look at the stars in more ways than one.

Amanda Bynes was arraigned and released in New York City on Friday morning, just hours after being arrested for tampering with physical evidence, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of marijuana. Despite appearing in court and arrest photos wearing a long blonde wig, the former child star is shown in her mugshot sporting a very short hairdo.

Bynes, 27, was arrested on Thursday evening. According to NYPD spokesman Det. Brian Sessa, police responded to a 911 call about a woman smoking marijuana in her apartment building lobby, and when they arrived, they were led to Bynes’s residence.

“There was a heavy smell of marijuana,” he continued. “[Then] she took the bong and threw it out the window.”

However, in court, Bynes’s lawyer, Andrew Friedman, said his client denies throwing a bong out of her window. “There was nothing recovered from the sidewalk,” he added. “Clearly a search was made for the bag.”

Friedman also said that police followed Bynes into her apartment illegally. (Sessa told ABC News that she let them inside.)

The next court date for Bynes has been set for July 9.

With The Hangover Part III, director and co-writer Todd Phillips breaks with the format of the previous two films. This time, the particular mess the Wolfpack finds itself in isn’t the result of a bachelor party gone wrong.

Instead, after a hilarious intervention that probably would’ve been even funnier had parts of it not been included in the trailer, Bradley Cooper’s Phil, Ed Helms’s Stu and Justin Bartha’s Doug have decided to drive Alan, again played by Zach Galifianakis, to a mental health facility in Arizona. Alan has gone off his meds, and has had a series of somewhat hilarious missteps over the previous six months.  One is a particularly twisted visual (a Phillips specialty) that’s one of the movie’s darkest and funniest moments. But for Alan, the final nail in the coffin, if you will, is when his father, Sid (Jeffrey Tambor) dies.

Even so, it’s not the intervention that sets the wheels in motion here. It’s actually something that transpired in the first Hangover movie.  That particular thing is why bad guy Marshall, played by John Goodman, has been following the Wolfpack and decides to run them off the road on their way to Arizona and take Doug hostage.  It all comes back to Ken Jeong’s Chow, who stole a lot of gold from Marshall, who in turn threatens to kill Doug unless the Wolfpack delivers Chow.

Chow is problematic this time around. In the first movie, he’s a brilliant character — he shows up out of nowhere and when he’s on screen, he owns the moment. Too much Chow, however, dilutes his effectiveness. That’s not a knock on the brilliant Jeong who, quite literally, puts it all out there in the name of comedy.  Sometimes it works and works well but as was in The Hangover Part II, there’s too much of him in this movie.  Not to say he doesn’t have his moments, but less Chow actually means more laughs when he shows up.

The Hangover Part III is supposed to be the final movie in the Hangover franchise, so let’s give Todd Phillips credit for trying to accomplish the impossible. He made one of the most successful film comedies of all time and then tried to follow it up not once, but twice. Unfortunately, that’s a losing battle. You buy your ticket, go in with an open mind and hope for the best, but the best certainly didn’t happen in the second movie and it doesn’t happen here. The good news is, The Hangover Part III is better than II and contains what actually might be the funniest moment of all three films — but you’re going to have to wait until the movie is over, literally, to find out what that is.

After 12 years of countless auditions, performances and lots of drama involving the judges themselves, “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson is leaving the show, saying his long stint had run its course.

When the longest-tenured judge announced his departure from America’s stage earlier this month, rumors rapidly ran wild. But Jackson confirms to ABC News’ Bianna Golodryga that he was not forced out, nor was he kicked off the show.

Golodryga caught up with Jackson at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., where he’s meeting the troops and donating guitars from his HSN guitar collection.

“You know, a bit of what I’ve done on ‘Idol’ for 12 seasons is that same sort of thing. I love inspiring people,” said Jackson.

His response begged the question of why, then, Jackson would give up being on the show now.

“I don’t think it’s a ‘Why give it up now?” Jackson said. “I just think that I’ve been through a lot of iterations of the show.”

“If you think back 12 seasons ago when it was you, Paula, Simon, did you ever think that that sort of bond and chemistry was possible on television?” Golodryga asked.

Jackson’s answer was simple: “We got so lucky. Anybody that says that they knew that this show was going to be a hit, knew that we were going to gel together is lying. None of us really knew. We hit the jackpot.”

He added, “It was definitely a little hard to take” when the original judging group disbanded, “Because we rode to the dance together. And we made the dance what the dance was.”

He also avoided the question of whether Abdul and Simon were ever anything more than friends.

“Paula and Simon, you must be getting ready for the book I’m planning to write,” Jackson joked. “Listen, I think Paula and Simon, it was never anything there. But you know, we often had fun. It was almost, like, I call ‘Idol’ a romper room for adults.”

It was that early romper that helped make the show the most-watched program on television week after week. But in recent seasons, the ‘Idol’ ratings have dropped by double digits.

Over the 12-year span, Jackson has shared the panel with a total of nine different judges.

“I really have always felt that people made too much of the judges and not enough of the talent,” said Jackson.

And as for what’s next for “The Dog,” he said, “I may be on some other shows. You never know.”

Mariah Carey had a wardrobe snafu this morning during the “Good Morning America” concert series when the back of her pink sequined Donatella Versace dress popped open.

“I love you Donatella, but it popped darling,” Carey said, laughing on stage after she finished singing her hit, “Always Be My Baby,” her first performance of the morning.

“Should we call this the Central Park saga?” the global superstar and best-selling female artist of all time joked with “GMA” anchor Lara Spencer on the stage in Central Park.

“What we’ll do is go to break, adjust, and when we come back we’ll talk to Mariah Carey about how gorgeous she looks,” Spencer replied.

After the commercial break, Carey emerged on stage in a brand new, stunning, long hot pink gown, a little more loosely-fit to ward off any future zipper problems.

Looking beautiful in the backup dress, Spencer asked Carey, “What’s your secret?”

“I’ve been trying to do the best I can to stay in shape,” said Carey. “But I need to catch my breath.”

“This is a crazy time to be coming out here singing at the crack of dawn,” Josh Elliot chimed in, thanking the Grammy-winner for putting on a fabulous show in Central Park.

Carey went on to complete the “GMA” concert series with the first-ever live performance of her new single, “#Beautiful,” featuring Miguel.

Baristas across the globe may have to bow in awe of the new 3-D designs of Japanese foam artist Kazuki Yamamoto.

Yamamoto’s work, which has previously depicted everything from anime characters to Pinocchio, has reached new heights – literally – over the past few months.

Some of the latest temporary masterpieces swirled out of  Yamamoto’s cup include a detailed giraffe, a three-eyed alien and a Hello Kitty character peeking out of a mug.

A batch of Yamamoto’s concoctions, both old and new, can be viewed on his Twitter page.

Former child star Amanda Bynes was arrested on Thursday evening in New York City, police confirmed to ABC News.

Bynes, 27, was charged with tampering with physical evidence, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of marijuana, NYPD spokesman Det. Brian Sessa told ABC News.

“There was a 911 call at her apartment building that someone was smoking marijuana in the lobby,” Sessa said, adding that once police arrived, a building official took them upstairs to her apartment and Bynes let them inside.

“There was a heavy smell of marijuana,” Sessa said. “[Then] she took the bong and threw it out the window.”

Bynes is still in police custody, according to Sessa.

Bynes, who has previously been charged with DUI, has displayed erratic behavior recently, tweeting provocative photos of herself and dramatically changing her look. However, just last fall, the actress told People magazine that she was “doing amazing,” and planning to launch a fashion line.

Messages for Bynes’ attorney have not been returned.

On Tuesday, JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher welcomed their daughter into the world, and now, they’re revealing her name: Emerson Jay Swisher.

“We are overjoyed, blessed and so full of love that our daughter Emme has finally arrived,” the “Reba” actress and her husband, an outfielder for the Cleveland Indians, told ABC News in a statement. “She is healthy, beautiful and vibrant. It’s the best feeling in the world.”

Swisher, 32, and Garcia, 33, were married in 2010, and moved to Cleveland, where Emerson was born, in December.

“My wife says, ‘You’re going to spoil that little girl so much,’” Swisher told Yahoo last week. “I’ve got a beautiful wife — she’s my best friend. I’ve got a great job and a beautiful home, and now it’s time to be a dad.”

Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, had a mid-air scare today when their helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing.

Charles and Camilla were 15 minutes into their flight from London to the Hay Literary Festival in Powys when a “technical fault” aboard the chopper forced the pilot to divert the flight to Denham Aerodrome in Buckinghamshire, according to the Press Association.

“The pilot carried out a controlled emergency landing after diverting to the airport,” a spokesman for the royal couple said.

An investigation has been opened into what caused the mid-air problem aboard the helicopter, which had as many as five people, in addition to Charles and Camilla, aboard.

Once safely on the ground, the prince and the duchess gamely boarded cars to continue on to Hay-on-Wye as scheduled.

Despite arriving three hours late, Charles and Camilla were greeted by a crowd of several hundred people at the festival, an annual gathering of authors, politicians and celebrities.

“They were unflappable despite what they went  through. If anyone else had gone through what they did they would have canceled their day,” one attendee told the Press Association.

Prince Charles was later scheduled to attend the Welsh National Opera’s opening night of Lohengrin at the Wales Millennium Center  in Cardiff, according to the BBC.

No, that’s not a photo of Jennifer Aniston’s fiance, Justin Theroux. It’s “Big Fish” star Ewan McGregor.

So, why the darker ‘do and facial hair? It’s likely for a role: McGregor recently signed on to star in the indie Western “Jane Got A Gun,” opposite Natalie Portman. In the movie McGregor, 42, will play the villainous leader of an outlaw gang that is out to kill Natalie Portman’s husband and take her land.

The movie, which is currently in production, has gotten off to a rocky start: McGregor is assuming the part after Bradley Cooper dropped out of the project.

“That was simply a scheduling thing,” Cooper explained to the Huffington Post. “Everything worked out for the best because they got Ewan McGregor. If they could have gotten him at the outset, I would have never gotten offered the role, I’ll tell you that.”

For the past few weeks, Andrew Garfield has been filming “Spider-Man 2″ in New York City alongside his real-life girlfriend, Emma Stone–but even superheroes need to take a break.

In the video below, a man in a Spider-Man costume, who appears to be Garfield, hits a local playground to play basketball with a few boys–but, like the comic book character, never reveals his true identity to onlookers.

After saying goodbye to his new friends, the masked man takes off down the busy Manhattan street, followed by a woman who looks remarkably like Stone.

For years, Jennifer Aniston has been known for her fit physique and, now, she’s showing it off in a big way.

In her new movie, “We’re the Millers,” Aniston, 44, plays an exotic dancer alongside Jason Sudeikis, who stars as a drug dealer. In the below trailer, the former “Friends” star shows off her moves, and strips down to her skivvies.

In an interview with InStyle UK last year, Aniston said that she stays in such great shape by working out five or six days each week, and avoiding junk food. But in spite of her killer body and great looks, the actress realizes that she’s getting older.

“You know what makes me feel old? When I see girls who are twenty-something, or the new crop of actresses and think, ‘Aren’t we kind of the same age?’ You lose perspective. Or being offered the part of a woman with a 17-year-old child. It’s like, ‘I’m not old enough to have a 17-year-old,’” she said.

“It’s a huge industry,” Jennie Ma, fashion and beauty editor at The Knot.com, told ABC News. “It generates about $4 billion a year. We’ve seen a lot of online retailers enter this space.”

When a dying boy’s wish to meet Queen Elizabeth was rejected, Helen Mirren, acting as the Queen, stepped in to have tea with the boy.

Mirren paid for 10-year-old Oliver Burton, from Leicester, England, and his parents to attend her West End show, where she plays the Queen. Afterward, she invited them backstage and had her butler serve them tea, while Oliver played with her Corgis. 

“She stayed in character for the whole thing. Oliver thought she was the real Queen, and well, that’s good enough for us,” the father James Browne told the UK’s Daily Mail.

“She was really lovely. She did the whole thing — had a butler there, was dressed in costume and did it all properly for him,” Browne added.

Oliver, who was born with Downs Syndrome, is facing his third battle with cancer and, according to his father, has been given only weeks to live.

At the top of his bucket list was a visit with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. After his local member of Parliament wrote to Queen Elizabeth, the family was told the Queen would be unable to meet with him, according to Oliver’s Facebook page.

Then, a charity worker, who heard about Oliver’s story, approached Mirren, who was happy to fill the royal’s shoes.

Mirren even knighted the boy and “told everyone that they had to call him Sir Oliver,” his father said. “He had a brilliant day.”

The countdown is on for Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s July delivery, and with every public appearance the duchess looks more and more like a mom-to-be.

Today the duchess’s seven-months-pregnant baby bump was on full display as she attended Queen Elizabeth II’s annual summer garden party at Buckingham Palace.

As more than 8,000 partygoers dressed in festive hats circled the palace’s grounds, Duchess Kate stood out in a lemon-yellow coat dress and cream-colored fascinator topped by a bow.  The duchess also carried a nude-colored handbag that, when she held it clasped below her waist, clearly showed off her growing belly.

Duchess Kate, 31, appeared at the annual fete with her in-laws, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and smiled through the festive affair, gamely greeting other party guests clearly excited to meet her.

This year’s garden party featured Olympians, Paralympians and officials from the 2012 Olympics in London, an event the duchess and her husband, Prince William, attended both as royal figures and as spectators enjoying the fun.

The Queen’s garden party, a royal tradition since the 1860s, features its own special blend of tea, more than 27,000 cups of which the attendees were expected to enjoy today.  Garden party guests also eat 20,000 sandwiches and 20,000 slices of cake at each affair, according to the Royal website.

Katie Holmes certainly wouldn’t be the first to find romance on set.

Nearly a year after divorcing Tom Cruise, the 34-year-old actress was seen out with her “Mania Days” co-star Luke Kirby Tuesday night after a day of filming in New York City.

They were seen strolling together, with grins on their faces, prompting some reports to suggest life might be imitating art.

Reps for both stars did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com’s request for comment.

A source told ABCNews.com, “They’re starring in a movie together, they’re having a wonderful time working together and they are just friends.”

Holmes and Kirby play a manic-depressive couple who meet at a psychiatric hospital and fall in love in the Spike Lee-produced romantic drama. They were seen earlier Tuesday laughing and holding hands, while getting soaked in a park fountain during one romantic scene.

The co-stars’ chemistry was also on display last week while shooting scenes on a city sidewalk, laughing and holding hands.

Canadian actor Kirby, 34, most recently played a romantic lead opposite Michelle Williams in “Take This Waltz.” He can also be seen on the Sundance Channel show “Rectify.”

Holmes, the mother of 6-year-old Suri Cruise, has remained single since her divorce from Cruise in August.

She told Allure magazine in March that although there was no man  in her life, she can envision a time when she might want to expand her family.

“I don’t know,” she said. “I’m open to it.”

JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher are parents!

On Tuesday, the “Reba” actress and her husband welcomed their first child, a daughter, Garcia’s publicist confirms to ABC News. No other details were available.

The couple announced the pregnancy in November, about two years after they tied the knot in Palm Beach, Fla. A month later, Garcia, 33, and Swisher, 32, moved from New York City, where Swisher played baseball for the Yankees, to Cleveland. The Ohio native now plays right field for the Indians.

“I knew we were coming home in a sense for Nick,” Garcia told MLB.com. “And that felt really warm and lovely. And I’ve never felt so incredibly embraced and taken care of, from the organization to the incredible wives to Nick being embraced by all of his teammates. … It’s really been this theme here about family, and it couldn’t be more fitting at this special moment in our lives.”

As for Swisher, life in clubhouse has already thrust him into protective dad mode.

“Oh, she ain’t coming in here, bro!” Swisher told the site.

“He’s already gone straight to imagining her dating,” Garcia responded. “He’s already in a panic.”

There’s one body part that pregnant Kim Kardashian may not want to give up after birth: her lips.

The reality star tweeted a photo of her swollen lips, along with, “My pregnancy lips are outta control #IGuessNotABadProblemToHave.”

Kardashian recently admitted that she has struggled to stay confident about her body with her growing curves and people’s opinions about them.

“Kourtney warned me that when I got pregnant, people’s opinions would be on an all-time high and people would chime in. Now I see what she means!” she told Grazia magazine, referring to her older sister Kourtney Kardashian, who has two children.

But Kardashian, 32, has also found plenty of defenders, including her younger sister Khloe, who wrote in a letter on Kim’s website, “For anyone to ever criticize a woman who is growing another life inside of her is true scum in my eyes.”

Pregnant “Sopranos” star Jamie-Lynn Sigler also urged critics to lay off Kardashian, telling Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live,” “I feel really bad for her. It’s hard being pregnant.”

“Your body does change,” Sigler added, “I mean my boobs have like quadrupled in size and it’s hard.”

Kardashian, whose baby with rapper Kanye West is due in July, is not the first star to experience an enhanced pregnancy pout.

During her first pregnancy with baby Maxwell, Jessica Simpson showed off a photo of her swollen lips, tweeting “Woke up looking like the lip injection fairy visited me in the night! Is this how pregnancy face begins?! Yikes!”

Bethenny Frankel dealt with her “pregnancy face” by putting a pack of frozen veggies on her face.

“I’m a swollen beast. My face exploded,” she tweeted while expecting daughter Bryn.

In a new promo for today’s episode of “Ellen,” Jennifer Aniston, who will co-host the talk show for a day, needs advice and a few “dumb jokes.” So, naturally, she decides to visit the home of her former “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry, who seems very confused by her visit.

“What? What are you talking about? We used to walk into each others’ apartments all the time,” she says, when he asks her to call before showing up next time. “We’re friends!”

“That was a TV show,” he responds. “We actually haven’t seen each other in a really long time. Like, eight years!”

After calling Perry “David” (a reference to David Schwimmer, who played Ross on the NBC sitcom), the mistaken identities continue when Courteney Cox appears from inside the house, and shrieks, “Lisa [Kudrow]?”

“It’s Jennifer!” Aniston replies.

After season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars” came to a close Tuesday night with country music star Kellie Pickler being crowned the winner, all the stars traveled overnight from Los Angeles to join “Good Morning America” in Times Square this morning for an epic After Party.

The finalists and their partners – Kellie Pickler, Derek Hough, Zendaya Coleman, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jacoby Jones, Karina Smirnoff, Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas – gave “GMA” the inside scoop on everything that really went on behind the scenes as the ballroom battle heated up.

Pickler, 26, credits her grandfather for being the reason she signed on to do the show, which was obviously good advice as she’s now the Mirror Ball Trophy winner, although her grandfather claims he’s the one who’s actually going to keep it.

“It was so great because he actually talked me into doing the show,” Pickler said on “GMA” this morning. “He’s never, ever missed an episode each season. He was really excited. It’s going in his bedroom, he said.”

Pickler’s partner, Hough, was proud to take part in her dance accomplishments and couldn’t be happier for her surprising success.

“She really was so surprising because she’s a country singer, and that’s what she does,” Hough, 28, said. “She doesn’t dance or do anything athletic. So to see her come out and do that was phenomenal. It blew me away. And I was really happy to bring that out.”

Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs, surprised her with a special video he recorded unveiling a new addition to their family, a puppy he suggested naming Tango because she did so well with that particular dance.

“Baby, you won ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ I can’t believe it,” Jacobs said on the video. “You’ve never danced a minute in your life. You’ve been doing this for two and a half months and you just won ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ That is crazy. I’m so proud of you. I love you so much, and my little gift to you is this little devil right here. We should call him Tango, because you rocked the tango, let’s be honest.”

But Pickler wasn’t the only dancer going home with something to commemorate the season. Zendaya Coleman’s professional partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, has a fresh scar on his face from their intense action on the dance floor.

“Fourteen dances and 14 stitches,” Chmerkovskiy, 27, said. “I’ll be able to say for the rest of my life a future Grammy winner, a future star gave me this scar.”

In addition to spilling their thoughts on the season, the four ‘Dancing’ teams played a “Two to Tango” game show where the “GMA” anchors tested their knowledge on how well the partners actually knew each other.

Despite all their time together on the dance floor, ‘DWTS’ winners Hough and Pickler didn’t prove victorious in their trivia knowledge, as Hough thought Picker’s celebrity crush was Channing Tatum.

“No, I like cowboys,” Pickler quickly replied. “Clint Eastwood!”

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas were the winners, as he knew her favorite color was pink, hometown was Boston and upcoming birthday was May 25, answering all the questions with ease.

Since the “Desperate Housewives” finale aired last May, Marcia Cross has stayed mostly low-key. But when she was asked to participate in a PSA to promote prostate cancer awareness, she says it was a “no-brainer” because her close friend’s husband had been diagnosed with the disease.

“There are so many causes out there but when someone you know is affected by it, it becomes more personal,” Cross, 51, who also advocated for breast cancer awareness after her friend – the same friend whose husband was sick – learned she had the disease, tells ABC News.

“It’s so selfish that I get to do something so simple and I get to feel like I’ve done something.”

For Cross, who has partnered with Safeway Foundation and Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), cancer has been an all-too-familiar presence. Not only have her friends been diagnosed with the disease, but her longtime companion, Richard Jordan, died of brain cancer in 1993, and her husband, stockbroker Tom Mahoney, was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2011. He is in remission.

Such experiences, which Cross calls “scary,” was especially fraught because the couple, who married in 2006, has young children: twins Eden and Savannah, now 6.

“I’ve shielded them from a lot of things, but I’ve introduced little facts,” she says of her kids’ understanding of the disease. “It’s weird that they lived through [their dad's experience], but they still don’t know much about cancer. I try to keep it age appropriate.”

And now that her husband is in better health and her ABC drama has wrapped (yes, the cast is still in touch, and Cross says they’re having lunch next month!), she’s focusing on spending as much time with her family as possible, and reveling in her twins’ blossoming personalities.

“They’re such different girls, but the beauty is they really complement each other and they get along beautifully,” she says. “Savannah is my scientist. She’s more concrete and scientific. She’s got her dad’s analytical mind. Eden is always upside down, doing cartwheels and spinning yards. More imaginative and lyrical. I love hanging out with them.”

So much so that this summer, she and Mahoney will take their girls to Paris for a week.

“I feel like, I’m an older mother, do it now, do everything now,” she says. “Life can turn on a dime. We’re healthy, we can do it, they want to be with us. Let’s do everything now while we can.”

Country music star Kellie Pickler was named the winner of “Dancing With the Stars” tonight during the finale of the show’s season 16, edging out Disney star Zendaya and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones.

Pickler had been a fan favorite, and her dancing skills markedly improved throughout 10 weeks of competition.

“Oh my God! This is amazing! Oh my God!” a surprised-looking Pickler said after hugging her pro partner, Derek Hough.

Zendaya took second place.

“I’m very proud. I’m very happy and I get to leave here with an amazing experience, so I’m very happy,” she said.

Jones reacted with his usual  humor.

“Out of all my trainings that I’ve had, I’ve never had a woman pushed me like she did,” he said jokingly of his pro partner Karina Smirnoff, who was standing next to him.

The season premiered on March 19 with 12 celebrity contestants vying for the mirror ball trophy.

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman was eliminated in the first hour of the results show, ending the competition in fourth place.

“This has been the best experience of my life. Thank you, ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ It’s been so amazing,” she said.

The remaining three finalists had to perform a final element of competition. They were given an instant dance, and were scored by judges. Those scores rounded out the judges’ scores for both nights.

The Instant Dance Routines

The judges’ scores from tonight were added to the judges’ scores from Monday’s performances. That total accounts for half of each star’s overall total. The other half came from viewers’ votes.

Jacoby Jones: The Baltimore Ravens wide receiver salsa’s brought uniform praise from judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.  Goodman told Jones that he had a “naturalness” about his dance, and was full of fun and vitality. Tonioli said Jones had charisma and showmanship, adding, “I could watch you anytime.” Inaba said that while Jones may have had a rough start in the finals, the important thing was how he finished. “You are a champion. That was the dance of a champion,” she said. Jones earned a perfect score of 30 points, giving him a two-night judges’ total of 86 out of 100 points.

Kellie Pickler: Tonioli told the country star that her jive had accuracy, precision and technique, and compared her to Julianne Hough, a former “Dancing” pro who is now a recording artist and actress. Inaba told Pickler that she and her partner, Derek Hough (Julianne Hough’s brother), were “like a bright ray of sunshine.” Goodman offered one of his trademark quips:  ”You’re always clean, you’re precise, you’re sharp, your dancing is always polished. I’m telling you, Kellie, you’re the bee’s knees, my mama’s pajamas, my uncle’s carbuncles. You’re awesome!” Pickler earned 30 points, giving her a two-night judges’ total of 94 points.

Zendaya:  The Disney star’s jive won customary rave reviews from the judges.  Inaba told her that she made every dance special, and Goodman added that, for a 16-year-old, she danced with precision and maturity and always turned in a performance, rather than just a routine. Added Tonioli: “For somebody so young you have pitch-perfect performer instinct.”  Zendaya earned 30 points, for a two-night judges’ total of 95 points.

When all the points were tabulated, Pickler was the star with the highest combined tally of judges’ scores and viewers’ votes.

The Final Four

Of the four finalists, Zendaya was considered the most technically accomplished, and was the early standout. She was the youngest competitor in the show’s history, and her performances consistently put her at or near the top of the leaderboard. She earned the first perfect score of the season.

Pickler was perhaps the most surprising contestant of the pack. She seemed to get better week after week, and she, too, was consistently at or near the top of the leaderboard during the competition. Her moving contemporary freestyle routine Monday night brought Inaba to tears and earned her a rare standing ovation from Goodman. Judges requested that routine as tonight’s encore performance.

Jones’ flair and showmanship lent him staying power even when his routines were less than perfect, but he improved during the course of the season, making up for technical flaws with energetic, crowd-pleasing performances.

Raisman turned in physically demanding routines that capitalized on her gymnastic skills, but judges also said she’d shown remarkable development of her dance abilities.

Tonight’s show include live performances from Miami rapper Pitbull, Korean rapper PSY and Wynonna Judd, who was eliminated from the show early on in this season.

There were also dance performances from the rest of the season 16 cast.

“General Hospital” star Ingo Rademacher was voted off the show last week. He was preceded by “The Bachelor” star Sean Lowe, comedian Andy Dick, boxing champion Victor Ortiz, comedian D.L. Hughley, Judd and reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump.

Because of an injury, figure skating legend Dorothy Hamill withdrew from the competition in the second week.

On Sunday afternoon, Holmes, who is currently filming “Mania Days”, and Suri trekked uptown to Make Meaning on the Upper East Side. The two spent the afternoon on the store’s second floor, painting Hello Kitty ceramics and discussing when the first grader could come back with her friends.
• Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have been living in London while he films “Jupiter Ascending,” but they still make time for each other. On Monday, the “Magic Mike” star, clad in a T-shirt, sweater and porkpie hat, and his very pregnant wife stepped out to see the movie “Mud.” “Loved every second,” the “Witches of East End” actress tweeted. “Go see it! What incredible acting by the two young actors and McConaughey.”
• Meanwhile, in New York City for upfronts, Sarah Michelle Gellar took a break from promoting her new CBS show to have a late dinner with a group of friends on Monday night at Arlington Club steakhouse.
• On Friday, Joe Jonas took advantage of the warm weather and headed to the newly-opened Tequila Park at the Hudson Hotel in Manhattan for tacos with a group of friends. “It was a mixed crew of guys and girls,” an onlooker tells ABC News. “They were laughing and drinking margaritas!” Jonas certainly seemed to enjoy himself, tweeting: “Great time last night at the new outdoor spot #tequilapark @hudsonnyc“
• It was a family weekend for Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen, who attended the graduation of the New England Patriot quarterback’s sister from Boston University over the weekend. The couple sat with Brady’s family, including several of his nieces, and Bündchen was seen cuddling with their baby, Vivian. Earlier in the day, however, she posted a photo that seems to be of their son, Benjamin, playing with Brady’s son from his relationship with Bridget Moynihan: “A beautiful day with my loves,” she wrote.

Last winter, reality show veteran Melissa Rycroft and her partner, Tony Dovolani, won “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars,” and she’s got some advice for tonight’s finalists: Invest in comfortable footwear.

“My feet are still rebelling about high heels,” she told ABC News with a laugh. “I was wearing, like, five-inchers and I’m working my way up. I had a herniated disk in my neck this time. At the ripe old age of 30 my body was falling apart. I’m so not jealous [of the competitors tonight]. I don’t want to be back out there.”

In spite of her (literally) scarring experience on “Dancing with the Stars,” Rycroft, who also was on “The Bachelor,” has been watching this season. As far as she’s concerned, there’s no clear winner, at this point.

“I said from day one it’s Kellie [Pickler]‘s trophy, and I still think it’s Kellie’s trophy, but I would love to see, like, Aly [Raisman] come in there and sneak it,” she said, adding that she’s “a huge Jacoby [Jones] fan.”

“They’re all phenomenal,” she said. “I’m glad I didn’t have to go up against any of them.”

Now a spokeswoman for Banana Boat’s Unconditional Fun Sweepstakes, Rycroft has begun to think about her own summer plans, which include spend time at her parents’ beach house and going to Europe with her husband, Tye Strickland, and their 2-year-old, Ava.

One thing not on the agenda just yet? Baby No. 2.

“We’ve always talked that we want a big family, but I look at Ava and go, ‘I’m not ready to share her yet,’” Rycroft said. “It’ll happen eventually.”

Brad Pitt is engaged to one of the world’s most beautiful women, actress Angelina Jolie – and since they met in 2004, he’s tried to avoid doing “sexy scenes” with anyone else, says his friend, Frank Pollaro.

“He’s crazy about her and she’s the same way about him,” Pollaro, Pitt’s furniture business partner, told Esquire for its June issue. “Once I walked in and Angie was standing there and Zahara walked up and said, ‘Daddy, you’re not going to start making out with Mommy again, are you?’ And it’s like that.”

But recently, the couple has had to withstand a lot. Jolie, 37, revealed last week that she had a preventative double mastectomy after learning that she was genetically predisposed to breast cancer, and her doctor added that Pitt, with whom Jolie is raising six children, was by her side for every procedure.

For Pitt, that decision was obvious. In Esquire, which hits newsstands May 31, the “World War Z” star, 49, said that his family is his priority.

“I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big. I wanted there to be chaos in the house,” he said. “There’s constant chatter in our house, whether it’s giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it. I love it. I love it.”

“I hate when they’re gone,” he added. “I hate it. Maybe it’s nice to be in a hotel room for a day - ‘Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.’  But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life.”

That life was a long time coming. Pitt admitted in the magazine that in the years prior to meeting Jolie, he was a “drifter” who “did too much …  drug damage.”

“But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity.  It was a conscious change,” he said. “This was about a decade ago.  It was an epiphany – a decision not to squander my opportunities.  It was a feeling of get up.  Because otherwise, what’s the point?”
