Ciara Announces Pregnancy on Instagram, Expecting 1st Child With Russell Wilson
This will be the couple's first child together.
— -- Ciara and Russell Wilson are expecting their first child together.
The couple made the announcement Tuesday night on Instagram, alongside a photo of themselves.
The date marked another occasion too: the singer's 31st birthday.
"On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family.. and I'm excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give...." Ciara, whose full name is Ciara Harris, wrote.
"The Greatest Blessing of All," added Wilson. "Forever Grateful. #BabyWilsonOnTheWay"
The singer and the NFL quarterback, 27, got married this past July, following a nearly four-month-long engagement. They were first linked last year, and made headlines after they revealed they were remaining abstinent until marriage.
"She's been through some heartaches, I've been through some heartaches," Wilson said in an interview. "[But] I ain't going to lie to you all now, I need you all to pray for us!"
This will be the first child for Wilson, and the second for Ciara, who has a 2-year-old son from a previous relationship.
