Leonardo DiCaprio's stepbrother is sitting in a Texas jail on three outstanding warrants while the actor travels the globe promoting his latest film.
Adam Farrar, 43, was arrested Jan. 24, when he went to visit girlfriend Charity Moore, 38, following her arrest for misdemeanor drug possession and other charges Jan. 20.
"He came into the lobby to visit Ms. Moore and we took him into custody," Lt. John Norton with the Collin County Sheriff's Office in McKinney, Texas, told ABC News.
Farrar was wanted on three outstanding warrants from Los Angeles for possession of a dangerous drug, harassment by phone and theft, according to jail records. All three are considered misdemeanors.
Norton said it's not certain what will happen next to Farrar.
"It's a complicated process," he said.
His girlfriend, Moore, is also wanted on an outstanding warrant in Los Angeles, for kidnapping, a third-degree felony, according to jail records.
Farrar and DiCaprio grew up together in Southern California after the actor's father George married Farrar's mother when the "Titanic" star was a young child. DiCaprio's parents separated when he was a year old.
Later DiCaprio followed his stepbrother into TV commercials, landing an ad for Matchbox cars at 14. Now, at 39, he's up for an Academy Award for his latest film, "The Wolf of Wall Street."
