— -- Robert Torrez and Laura Valverde kicked off the "Good Morning America" 24-hour wedding marathon live in Times Square today.

"GMA" is celebrating love with a 24-hour live stream featuring 100 couples saying "I do," from around the world, including locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Detroit, Orlando, Seoul, South Korea and Scotland.

Torrez, 28, proposed to Valverde, 29, with flare, serenading her with his own rendition of "Greased Lightning" in his 1955 Chevy Bel Air. The proposal went viral.

The electric proposal wasn't a huge surprise for Valverde.

"Of course he wasn’t going to go to a restaurant and kneel down, that’s not his style," the bride-to-be said.

The live ceremony didn’t hit the couple until they were standing in Times Square with ABC News correspondent T.J. Holmes.

"I think I’m more nervous about seeing her," Torrez said. "I'm just going to cry."

Holmes assured him it's okay for men to cry and asked how the couple knew they wanted to be together.

“It’s just like a perfect puzzle piece that meshes so well,” the bride gushed.

The couple from Dallas, Fort Worth, sealed the deal with a kiss, officially becoming the first bride and groom in the big day of 100 weddings.
