— -- Bridget McCartney has been sending out Christmas cards for five years now.

But as the only unmarried sibling of five, her cards are so unlike anything her brothers and sisters send out.

"My siblings were all doing their own Christmas cards, but I was still on my parents'," says McCartney of San Antonio, Texas. "My parents weren't being mean or spiteful, but one day they told me they wanted to make their own cards, so I said, 'okay, then I'm going to make my own cards too.'"

The 27-year-old began creating hilarious "single girl cards," featuring photos of herself partying with stuffed animals, and this year, posing with a manikin.

"Every year people send Christmas cards trying to show the best version of themselves," McCartney told ABC News. I try to make it funny by being the worst version of myself. I'm not really alone and depressed on Christmas; I just like to play on the fun part. People look forward to my cards because they are so out of the ordinary."

McCartney began her annual project in 2010 when she sent 20 cards to family and friends. This year, she sent out 150.

"People loved it so it has become a yearly tradition," she says.

McCarthy’s brother posted pictures of her comical cards on Imgur.com, where it received over 3 million views in less than a week.

"It’s insane," McCartney says. "I wanted it to go viral, but I didn’t know it would go this viral. It’s a huge surprise for me."

"I actually do have a boyfriend, so it's funny that I'm famous on the Internet for being this depressed, 'single girl'," she says. "In the future I think I’ll still do this - even when I have kids and stuff I still want to keep making the cards hilarious."
